Eczema is a medical condition that makes our skin itchy, red and inflamed skin rash.
Eczema is very common in children but any age group can face it at any time.
Eczema is non-contagious disease .Most common type of Eczema is Atopic dermatitis.
Atopic dermatitis don’t have any particular treatment but it can be treated by self-care and some sort of medical treatment.
This condition may also be associated with respiratory systems such as Asthma.
Another type of eczema that is common in babies is known as infant eczema.
This condition develops naturally and it disappears when the baby is 2 to 3 years.
If the baby is suffering from Infant eczema you will see the symptoms on Face and Scalp.
According to medical sources there are many symptoms of Eczema that make an individual life uncomfortable.

Types of Eczema
There are several kinds of Eczema depending upon specific cause and symptoms. Some causes may be allergic and some may be non-allergic.

Atopic Dermatitis is usually a Chronic condition which is identified by itchy, swollen and red skin.
Atopic Dermatitis is a type of eczema that is caused by allergic reaction .It can affect any age group.
Generally, it affect children and it get cured when they grew up but it also affect adults in some cases.
Cause of Atopic Dermatitis:-
Actual cause of Atopic Dermatitis is still unknown. It is common in people who got allergy from certain allergens.
Causes of Atopic Dermatitis :-
1.Cold and dry Weather
4.Excess sweat and Scratching
Certain Soaps and Detergent may also result in Atopic Dermatitis. You can avoid the certain chemical products that affect you.
Symptoms of Atopic Dermatitis:-
As it can affect all age groups and so it symptoms also differ
Symptoms of AD in children:-
1.Rash on cheeks
2.Rash around eyes
3.Rash in the neck
4.Extremely dry skin
Symptoms of AD in adults:-
1.Dry itchy skin
2.Pimple like rash that discharge fluid after scratching
3.Dark skin spot
4.Rashes around knee and elbow
5. Discolor skin that is always itching.
Treatment of Atopic Dermatitis:-
Severe Eczema can have a great negative impact on our daily life. Due to scratching it may increase the risk of infection.
Treating eczema completely could give you relief from uncomfortable symptoms. But still now there is no known medical treatment that can treat eczema completely.
You can treat these medical condition by the following ways:-
1.Take self-care for example to reduce scratching and avoid allergens that trigger the symptoms.
2.Use moisturizer regularly for day skin.
3. Corticosteroids skin cream that can help you reduce the redness, itching and inflammation.
Contact dermatitis is produced when you come in contact with certain substances that cause irritation to your skin.
It can be cured completely if you avoid contact with certain substances.
Cause of Contact Dermatitis:-
Contact Dermatitis are mainly caused by two ways
1.Irritant:-The substances that cause irritation to your skin as soon as they come in contact with your skin.
2.Allergens:- It usually takes time to develop its symptoms as it’s your immune response to your body when your skin comes in contact with certain allergen substances.
Contact dermatitis can also develop from weak irritant substances such as soaps and detergents.
If you have Atopic Dermatitis then you are at increased risk of Contact Dermatitis.

Not everyone is sensitive to everything; it depends on your skin and your immune system how it reacts to the substance.
If you are affected and develop the irritant contact dermatitis then you must not scratch or rub the irritated area of your skin because it will worsen the condition.
It usually becomes worse if you have to work with irritants at your job. It may degrade and affect your health badly.

3.Metal that is present in your jewelry such as cobalt ,nickel.silver.
4.Latex in rubber

Symptoms of Contact Dermatitis:-
You may notice your skin becoming red, dry, cracked, blistered and inflamed.
These symptoms of Contact Dermatitis can appear at any part of your body that has been affected by irritation.
You can develop symptoms immediately or it can take 24 hrs. to 72 hrs. to develop symptoms ,it all depends on how sensitive your skin is.
Depending upon the allergens and irritant you may discover some additional symptoms.
1.Your skin discharge fluid from affected area of skin
2.Your skin area that got affected may slowly convert to infections.
3.Swelling and pain will be increased in that area.
Treatment for Contact Dermatitis:-
You must avoid the contact with certain substances that affect you. If you successfully avoid the contact with irritants you will not get any symptoms further .
But it is impossible to avoid contact with the substance in our daily. Your skin specialist will suggest you the way of minimizing the effect.
Ways to Treat Contact Dermatitis:-
If you work with irritants at your job you may wear protective cover to avoid the symptoms.
You can use Emollient for treating the symptoms.
There are Different emollients available at the market for different skin types, so consult with your Doctor before using any.
Don’t use any cosmetic skin cream instead of emollient because it may not work for your skin.
Emollient works the same as your moisturizer. The only difference is the oil content in it varies for different skin type.
You can use Topical Corticosteroid cream. Consult with your doctor first. There are different corticosteroid cream available for different skin type.
Discoid Eczema is a long term chronic skin disorder that makes our skin itchy, swollen and Cracked.
It will be cleared naturally after sometimes without treatment but it may again come back and affect the same area again.
Cause of Discoid Eczema:-
Still now the exact cause of Discoid Eczema is unknown but it is believed the possible cause of Discoid Eczema is due to dry skin.
It is important to pay attention to the chemical content of your skin Cosmetics that you are using . Sometimes, the cause of Contact Dermatitis also contributes to developing the Discoid Eczema.
The cause of Discoid Eczema can be developed by certain skin injury ,bite from insect, skin burn and from certain medicine.
Symptoms of Discoid Eczema:-
You can identify Discoid Eczema by formation of many small bumps on the skin. And over time the small bumps join up together to form an itchy patch.
These patches are round in shape and are usually dark brown in colour. They are often misunderstood as ringworms.
These patches are swollen , blistered and often discharge fluids. These patches become very much itchy over time.
Avoid scratching the patches. You may feel comfortable at the initial stage but you will bleed after excess scratching and it will cause you infection.
Treatment for Discoid Eczema:-
1.Use Emollients for moisturizing your skin
2.Typical corticosteroids skin cream
3.Use antibiotics if the eczema is infected
4.You can use Antihistamines medication if is itching severely

1.Take bath regularly with antiseptic liquids and keep yourself clean and hygienic.
2.Avoid using certain soaps and detergents.
